This year at Mureli, we decided to start our Christmas preparations much earlier. Since August 1, we’ve been shipping 100 kg of our handcrafted products to the USA every single day. And it’s not about panic or fear of customs duties — for Ukraine, they will only be 10%.

The real reason is to avoid delays that may arise after U.S. President Donald Trump signed an order to introduce customs clearance starting August 29. In our fairytale version, he has turned into the “Trump-Grinch” who wants to steal the most precious thing — the timely arrival of Christmas gifts.

We know that any changes in customs procedures, especially before the holidays, can overload the system. U.S. Customs might simply not be ready to handle the new workload, and that means a risk of delays.

• Deliver every order on time, even if the customs “Grinch” decides to create a long line.

• Stock up our U.S. warehouse in advance, so packages can reach customers without waiting at the border.

• Maintain the level of service our customers are used to.
