Marianna Hordynska — technical craftswoman and leather product designer at Mureli

Constructor. Artisan. Tester. Mother. A person who creates with her hands and her heart.
Marianna joined the Mureli team in the summer of 2022 — right after the workshop relocated to the Zakarpattia region due to the full-scale invasion. Since then, she has become a pillar of our workshop: working with tools, sewing equipment, testing every detail, and bringing warmth and reliability into the products — something you can feel the moment you hold them.

Her story is one of a dream come true:
“As a child, I dreamed of learning how to sew — and that dream came true right here at Mureli.”
Marianna holds a degree in psychology, is a mother of two daughters, and loves music — she plays the piano. But she’s also always been fascinated by machines. Not just how they work, but what’s inside. Today, she confidently operates everything from hand tools to specialized leather sewing and cutting machines.
A craft that became a true calling
With Mureli, Marianna discovered an entirely new world — from selecting leather to final product testing.
“I realized it’s possible to go to work every day and truly enjoy the process. Creating, sewing, trying something new — it’s a joy, not just a job.”
Her golden rule is simple: nothing gets released without real-life testing. It’s in the day-to-day use that improvements are born — ideas to make each product more comfortable, durable, and functional.
“Testing is more than just checking. It reveals solutions you’ll never see in a sketch.”
And the best part, she says, is when someone recognizes a product in her hands and asks, “Where can I get one of those?”
“I proudly say: we make it ourselves. And I recommend it with confidence — because I trust every stitch, every line.”
