This leather binder was created by Mureli Workshop as a personal archive of memories from a trip to California. On the cover, we added the embossed phrase “Our California Adventures”, so the binder itself became part of the story of that journey.

The idea behind this product goes far beyond one specific trip. A similar travel memory binder can be created after a family vacation, road trip, honeymoon, major international journey, trip with friends, or any other adventure that deserves to be preserved not only digitally, but physically as well.

Over time, photographs can disappear among thousands of images on a phone, tickets remain in pockets, postcards end up in different boxes, and small keepsakes are often lost. This binder gives you a way to bring everything connected to one trip together in one physical archive.

For this project, the personalization was created with a specially made physical metal embossing die.

The photos show both the finished “Our California Adventures” embossing and the actual die used to create it.

The custom metal die made for a client’s personal design is kept for their future repeat orders.

An individual design created for one client is not used for personalization on orders for other customers.

If the owner of this travel binder later wants another compatible leather product with the same design, we can reuse their existing die.

For every new client, a separate design and, when needed, a new custom die are created.

Charcoal Gray Leather

For this project, the client selected Charcoal Gray / Dark Gray leather.

The deep graphite-gray tone creates a calm and understated look that works especially well with the light interior.

For another travel memory project, a different leather color can be selected to match the destination, mood of the trip, or personal style of the owner.

Light Suede Interior

The interior of this binder is finished with light suede.

The contrast between the charcoal gray leather exterior and light interior highlights the construction of the binder and gives the inside a lighter visual feel.

The stitched edges help maintain a clean shape during long-term use.

Paper, plastic page protectors, photographs, tickets, documents, and other keepsakes are not included unless otherwise agreed.

We use top-grain calf leather and carefully select it for each type of product. Where strength and structural stability are needed, we choose denser sections of the leather. Where elasticity, softness, and a more natural texture matter, we use more flexible parts of the material.

For example, we cut leather desk pads along the upper line of the hide, which is usually flatter and more even. Rolls, on the other hand, are cut along the lower line of the hide, which is more elastic and often has a more interesting natural texture. This approach allows us to combine aesthetics, functionality, and durability in the right way.

For corporate orders, we can also offer a wider range of calf leather depending on the requirements of a particular project and the needs of the brand.

Since leather is a natural material, each product has its own unique characteristics. The shade, texture, density, and surface character may vary slightly from what you see in the photos. This is part of the value of genuine leather — every изделие preserves the living character of the material and its natural uniqueness.

Any personalization shown in the photos in our listings, including logos, names, initials, or text, is provided for demonstration purposes only. By default, we sell our products without personalization. If you would like to add your own logo, name, or text, please leave your request in the Comment field during checkout.

In many cases, we can complete laser engraving directly at the warehouse and ship the order on the same day, so this usually does not affect the dispatch time. If embossing with a metal die is required, the work is completed in our workshop in Ukraine, so delivery usually takes about 9 days instead of 1–3 days for orders shipped from our warehouse in the USA.

If the personalization includes the customer’s logo, our designer first prepares a digital mockup for approval. For wholesale and corporate orders, we also produce the first item from the batch as a sample, approve it separately, and only after the second approval do we proceed with the full production run.

If the order is shipped from Ukraine, we independently pay all customs duties and mandatory charges regardless of the destination country, so the customer does not face additional costs or difficulties when receiving the parcel.
