This personalized leather A5 sketchbook organizer holds a special place in the history of our workshop.

The combination of warm Golden Wheat leather with deep teal blue-green accents was created by my wife in 2022, when we were evacuating our production from a combat zone in Ukraine. During that period, we continued working, developing new pieces and rebuilding our workshop in a new location.

The colors do not literally reproduce the Ukrainian flag, but the golden yellow base and cool blue-green details naturally echo its palette. Because of that, this model became more than just another color variation for us. It is an important part of Mureli’s history, and we have now decided to bring it back as a made-to-order artist organizer.

For A5 & 8.5 × 5.5 in Sketchbooks

The organizer is designed for A5 and approximately 8.5 × 5.5 in sketchbooks, notebooks and journals.

Standard A5 paper measures approximately 5.8 × 8.3 in / 148 × 210 mm. When fully opened, the organizer measures approximately 16.2 × 9.1 in / 412 × 232 mm.

It can be used not only as a sketchbook cover, but also with a compatible notebook or journal of a similar size.

Portrait & Landscape Orientation

One of the key features of this design is its ability to hold both portrait and landscape sketchbooks or notebooks.

Portrait orientation works well for traditional sketching, portraits, journaling and notes, while landscape orientation is especially useful for panoramic drawings, urban sketching, travel sketches and wider compositions.

One organizer can therefore adapt to different ways of working without requiring a separate leather cover for each orientation.

Pencil Holders & Art Tool Storage

The left side includes leather holders for colored pencils, graphite pencils, pens and markers, together with a flap pocket for smaller creative tools.

The pocket measures approximately 6.2 × 2.9 in / 158 × 75 mm and can be used for an eraser, sharpener, small utility knife or other compact art supplies.

Your sketchbook, pencils and essential tools can stay together inside one portable leather artist organizer.

Signature Decorative Leather Lacing

A distinctive feature of this model is the decorative leather lacing along the center fold.

This detail was developed specifically for the Mureli design and was inspired by decorative elements found in western and cowboy clothing. We adapted that visual idea into a functional artist organizer, where the lacing became part of the recognizable character of the model.

The lacing is primarily decorative and adds a distinctive handmade detail to the construction.

Personalization or No Name Tag

The front leather tag can be personalized with a name, initials or short text.

The personalized tag shown in the photos is only an example. Your inscription will be made according to the information provided with your order.

If you prefer a cleaner look, the organizer can also be made without the front name tag.

Made to Order

This color combination is not a stock item. Each organizer is made specifically to order.

Because of the additional production time, manufacturing and delivery may take a few days longer than for our ready-to-ship products.

We include 12 pencils and a small sketchbook with heavy paper and 12 sheets as complimentary gifts from Mureli.

These items are free gifts and are not included in the product price. The primary product in this listing is the leather organizer itself.

The complimentary sketchbook can later be replaced with your preferred compatible A5 or approximately 8.5 × 5.5 in notebook or journal.

Natural Genuine Leather

Because the organizer is made from genuine leather, slight variations in grain, natural markings, texture and exact shade are normal.

These natural differences give each organizer its own individual appearance, and with regular use the leather may gradually develop a richer patina.

A Leather Artist Organizer with a Story

This Golden Wheat and Teal leather A5 sketchbook organizer combines A5 and 8.5 × 5.5 in compatibility, portrait and landscape orientation, pencil storage, personalization and a color combination that has become part of our workshop’s history.

It was created during one of the most difficult periods for our family and our production, and bringing it back today feels less like reintroducing an old colorway and more like restoring an important chapter of Mureli.

We use top-grain calf leather and carefully select it for each type of product. Where strength and structural stability are needed, we choose denser sections of the leather. Where elasticity, softness, and a more natural texture matter, we use more flexible parts of the material.

For example, we cut leather desk pads along the upper line of the hide, which is usually flatter and more even. Rolls, on the other hand, are cut along the lower line of the hide, which is more elastic and often has a more interesting natural texture. This approach allows us to combine aesthetics, functionality, and durability in the right way.

For corporate orders, we can also offer a wider range of calf leather depending on the requirements of a particular project and the needs of the brand.

Since leather is a natural material, each product has its own unique characteristics. The shade, texture, density, and surface character may vary slightly from what you see in the photos. This is part of the value of genuine leather — every изделие preserves the living character of the material and its natural uniqueness.

Any personalization shown in the photos in our listings, including logos, names, initials, or text, is provided for demonstration purposes only. By default, we sell our products without personalization. If you would like to add your own logo, name, or text, please leave your request in the Comment field during checkout.

In many cases, we can complete laser engraving directly at the warehouse and ship the order on the same day, so this usually does not affect the dispatch time. If embossing with a metal die is required, the work is completed in our workshop in Ukraine, so delivery usually takes about 9 days instead of 1–3 days for orders shipped from our warehouse in the USA.

If the personalization includes the customer’s logo, our designer first prepares a digital mockup for approval. For wholesale and corporate orders, we also produce the first item from the batch as a sample, approve it separately, and only after the second approval do we proceed with the full production run.

If the order is shipped from Ukraine, we independently pay all customs duties and mandatory charges regardless of the destination country, so the customer does not face additional costs or difficulties when receiving the parcel.
