This leather binder was created by Mureli Workshop for a family that wanted to build their own family memory book — a place where photographs, letters, notes, documents, children’s drawings, travel tickets, and other meaningful keepsakes can be collected over the years.

For this project, the family selected a deep Charcoal Gray / Dark Gray leather color, a light suede interior, and the phrase “Our California Adventures”, which we embossed using a specially made custom metal die.

This is more than a binder for storing documents. Thanks to the ring mechanism, it can be gradually filled with new pages, photographs, letters, and small keepsakes, allowing it to become a personal family archive and heirloom that can be preserved for many years and eventually passed on to the next generation.

Charcoal Gray Leather with Light Suede Interior

This project features a deep Charcoal Gray / Dark Gray leather exterior.

The dark graphite-gray tone creates a calm, understated, and versatile appearance that works especially well for a family memory book, personal archive, or meaningful gift.

The interior is finished with light suede, creating a strong contrast between the exterior and interior surfaces.

For a new order, another leather color and a different exterior and interior combination can be selected.

For the “Our California Adventures” design, we created a dedicated physical metal embossing die.

This die was used to press the personalization into the leather.

The Custom Die Is Reserved for This Client

The custom die made for this client’s personal design is kept for their future repeat orders.

Because the design was created specifically for this family, this die is not used for orders from other customers.

If the same family later wants another binder or another compatible leather product with the same design, we can reuse their existing die.

For every new customer, we create separate personalization based on their own text, monogram, logo, or graphic design.

Paper, plastic page protectors, photographs, documents, and other materials shown or described are not included unless otherwise agreed.

We use top-grain calf leather and carefully select it for each type of product. Where strength and structural stability are needed, we choose denser sections of the leather. Where elasticity, softness, and a more natural texture matter, we use more flexible parts of the material.

For example, we cut leather desk pads along the upper line of the hide, which is usually flatter and more even. Rolls, on the other hand, are cut along the lower line of the hide, which is more elastic and often has a more interesting natural texture. This approach allows us to combine aesthetics, functionality, and durability in the right way.

For corporate orders, we can also offer a wider range of calf leather depending on the requirements of a particular project and the needs of the brand.

Since leather is a natural material, each product has its own unique characteristics. The shade, texture, density, and surface character may vary slightly from what you see in the photos. This is part of the value of genuine leather — every изделие preserves the living character of the material and its natural uniqueness.

Any personalization shown in the photos in our listings, including logos, names, initials, or text, is provided for demonstration purposes only. By default, we sell our products without personalization. If you would like to add your own logo, name, or text, please leave your request in the Comment field during checkout.

In many cases, we can complete laser engraving directly at the warehouse and ship the order on the same day, so this usually does not affect the dispatch time. If embossing with a metal die is required, the work is completed in our workshop in Ukraine, so delivery usually takes about 9 days instead of 1–3 days for orders shipped from our warehouse in the USA.

If the personalization includes the customer’s logo, our designer first prepares a digital mockup for approval. For wholesale and corporate orders, we also produce the first item from the batch as a sample, approve it separately, and only after the second approval do we proceed with the full production run.

If the order is shipped from Ukraine, we independently pay all customs duties and mandatory charges regardless of the destination country, so the customer does not face additional costs or difficulties when receiving the parcel.
