Masonic Leather Cigar Travel Case with Detailed Hot Embossing
This structured leather cigar travel case was handcrafted by Mureli Workshop as part of a completed personalized client order.
The completed case shown in the photographs features a detailed client-provided Masonic-style emblem together with the customer’s initials.
The central artwork includes recognizable architectural and Masonic-inspired elements, such as a square and compass, columns, and decorative building tools arranged as a crest. We describe it as a Masonic-style emblem because the artwork was supplied specifically for this private client order.
For this project, the customer selected two separate personalization elements:
- a detailed Masonic-style emblem embossed on the front panel;
- the customer’s initials placed below the main artwork.
Both elements were applied using hot embossing with custom-made metal dies. This method allows us to reproduce complex emblems, logos, monograms, illustrations, club symbols, family crests, and other detailed artwork directly on genuine leather.
The Masonic-style emblem and initials visible in the photographs belong to the completed client order and are displayed only as an example of our personalization capabilities. They will not be reproduced for another customer without authorization.
Your cigar case can be ordered without personalization or customized with your own approved emblem, logo, monogram, initials, name, or other original artwork.
Personalization Options
You can order this cigar travel case in one of two versions:
- Without Personalization — the case is produced without an emblem, logo, initials, name, or artwork;
- Custom Hot Embossing — the case is personalized using one or more custom metal dies made for your approved design.
Custom hot embossing may include:
- a Masonic-style emblem or lodge-inspired symbol;
- a family crest or personal coat of arms;
- a private club emblem;
- a company or cigar brand logo;
- initials or a monogram;
- a decorative illustration;
- a name or short inscription;
- a combination of a central emblem and separate initials.
More than one personalization element may be used when the available space and artwork allow it. For example, the completed order shown in the photographs combines a large central emblem with separate initials below it.
Customers are responsible for ensuring that they have permission to use any submitted trademarks, organization emblems, copyrighted artwork, or protected symbols.
Hot Embossing with a Custom Metal Die
Hot embossing is one of the most refined personalization methods available for genuine leather.
A metal die is produced specifically for the customer’s artwork. During embossing, the heated die is pressed into the leather under controlled pressure, creating a clean, permanent, and tactile impression.
This method is especially suitable for:
- complex logos and emblems;
- Masonic-style or lodge-inspired artwork;
- decorative illustrations;
- detailed monograms;
- fine lettering;
- artwork that requires a deeper and more expressive result than standard engraving.
The final appearance depends on the leather, dimensions of the artwork, line thickness, and level of detail.
Digital Proof Before Production
For personalized orders, our designer prepares a digital layout before production.
The proof shows the proposed:
- artwork placement;
- personalization size;
- relationship between the main emblem and initials;
- general appearance of the finished case.
Production begins only after the customer approves the final layout.
If the original design contains extremely thin lines, gradients, very small text, or excessive detail, we may recommend simplifying certain elements to achieve a cleaner embossed result.
Artwork Requirements
Please send your design in the highest available quality.
Preferred vector file formats include:
- AI;
- EPS;
- SVG;
- PDF.
A clear high-resolution black-and-white image may also be suitable.
For the best result, the artwork should contain clearly defined shapes and lines. Photographs, gradients, shadows, and multicolor effects usually need to be converted into a simplified embossing design.
Structured Travel Format
The case is designed as a structured travel organizer for cigars and compact smoking accessories.
Its rectangular form helps protect the contents during transport and keeps personal cigar accessories organized in one place.
The case is suitable for:
- travel;
- cigar lounge visits;
- private club meetings;
- weekend trips;
- business travel;
- personal cigar storage;
- premium personalized gifts.
Case Dimensions
Approximate exterior dimensions:
- height: 24 cm — approximately 9.4 inches;
- width: 18 cm — approximately 7.1 inches;
- depth: 8 cm — approximately 3.1 inches.
Minor dimensional variations may occur because every case is handcrafted.
Improved Dual-Zipper Closure
We have upgraded the construction of our cigar travel cases to improve everyday reliability and ease of use.
Previous versions used a single zipper slider. The current design is now equipped with two zipper sliders, allowing the case to be opened from either direction and helping distribute movement more evenly along the zipper.
The full perimeter zipper helps keep the case securely closed during transport, while the dual-slider design provides a more convenient and dependable opening system.
Leather zipper pulls make both sliders easier to grip and maintain the coordinated handcrafted appearance of the case.
A detachable leather wrist strap is attached to the exterior hardware for convenient carrying.
Genuine Crazy Horse Leather
The case is handcrafted from genuine Crazy Horse leather with a heavily waxed surface and expressive vintage character.
This type of leather naturally develops:
- lighter areas from pressure and handling;
- small scratches and rubbed marks;
- natural variations in tone;
- a distinctive patina over time.
These characteristics are expected properties of Crazy Horse leather and are not defects. Each finished case has its own individual texture and color variation.

Top-Grain Calf Leather
We use top-grain calf leather and carefully select it for each type of product. Where strength and structural stability are needed, we choose denser sections of the leather. Where elasticity, softness, and a more natural texture matter, we use more flexible parts of the material.
For example, we cut leather desk pads along the upper line of the hide, which is usually flatter and more even. Rolls, on the other hand, are cut along the lower line of the hide, which is more elastic and often has a more interesting natural texture. This approach allows us to combine aesthetics, functionality, and durability in the right way.
For corporate orders, we can also offer a wider range of calf leather depending on the requirements of a particular project and the needs of the brand.
Since leather is a natural material, each product has its own unique characteristics. The shade, texture, density, and surface character may vary slightly from what you see in the photos. This is part of the value of genuine leather — every изделие preserves the living character of the material and its natural uniqueness.
Personalization and Branding
Any personalization shown in the photos in our listings, including logos, names, initials, or text, is provided for demonstration purposes only. By default, we sell our products without personalization. If you would like to add your own logo, name, or text, please leave your request in the Comment field during checkout.
In many cases, we can complete laser engraving directly at the warehouse and ship the order on the same day, so this usually does not affect the dispatch time. If embossing with a metal die is required, the work is completed in our workshop in Ukraine, so delivery usually takes about 9 days instead of 1–3 days for orders shipped from our warehouse in the USA.
If the personalization includes the customer’s logo, our designer first prepares a digital mockup for approval. For wholesale and corporate orders, we also produce the first item from the batch as a sample, approve it separately, and only after the second approval do we proceed with the full production run.
If the order is shipped from Ukraine, we independently pay all customs duties and mandatory charges regardless of the destination country, so the customer does not face additional costs or difficulties when receiving the parcel.
* We offer personalization for individual and corporate orders.
Personalization and Branding
Leather Selection
I work only with trusted suppliers and personally review leather before it becomes part of a product. Some hides are better for structure and firmness, while others are better for flexibility and a more expressive natural texture. This experience helps me choose the right material for the right purpose, and that decision matters in every finished piece.
