This series of leather restaurant menu folders was created by Mureli Workshop as a real bulk order of 100 pieces.

The client needed a menu folder that would feel soft and flexible in the hand while still holding its shape during daily use. To achieve this, we used two layers of leather, approximately 1.5 mm each, and intentionally did not add cardboard or another rigid insert between them.

The folders were designed for 8.5 × 11 inch menu sheets and use leather corner holders to keep the printed pages securely in place. For this specific order, the client requested simple straight corner holders and chose a clean design without any logo or personalization.

About This Custom Project

This project was made by Mureli Workshop for a client who needed 100 matching leather menu folders for 8.5 × 11 inch printed menus.

The client specifically requested:

• A soft construction that still holds its shape
• No cardboard between the leather layers
• No logo or other personalization
• Straight leather corner holders
• A consistent design across the full order of 100 pieces

This is a good example of how the construction of a restaurant menu folder can be adapted to the specific requirements of a restaurant, hotel, bar, cafe, or other hospitality business.

A similar menu folder can be made in another leather color, another size, with different corner shapes, or with custom personalization.

Double-Layer Leather Construction Without Cardboard

One of the main features of this custom order is the construction of the cover.

We used:

• Outer leather layer: approximately 1.5 mm
• Inner leather layer: approximately 1.5 mm
• No cardboard or rigid insert between the layers

The result is a substantial double-layer leather construction that remains soft and flexible rather than rigid.

Unlike menu folders with a hard internal core, this design bends more naturally in the hand and preserves the natural feel of the leather.

At the same time, the two leather layers provide enough structure to help the folder maintain its shape during regular use.

Designed for 8.5 × 11 Inch Menu Sheets

This model was developed for standard 8.5 × 11 inch / US Letter menu sheets.

The printed menu pages are secured inside the folder with leather corner holders.

This makes it easy to insert, remove, or replace menu sheets whenever the restaurant updates prices, dishes, drinks, seasonal selections, or other information.

For this specific project, the client requested simple straight leather corner holders.

This means the corner design can be changed together with the leather color, size, personalization, and other construction details to better match the style of a restaurant or hospitality business.

No Personalization for This Order

The client intentionally ordered this batch without a logo, text, or other personalization.

This kept the exterior clean, minimal, and focused on the natural appearance of the leather.

Printed menus and paper inserts shown in the photos are for demonstration purposes only and are not included unless otherwise agreed.

We use top-grain calf leather and carefully select it for each type of product. Where strength and structural stability are needed, we choose denser sections of the leather. Where elasticity, softness, and a more natural texture matter, we use more flexible parts of the material.

For example, we cut leather desk pads along the upper line of the hide, which is usually flatter and more even. Rolls, on the other hand, are cut along the lower line of the hide, which is more elastic and often has a more interesting natural texture. This approach allows us to combine aesthetics, functionality, and durability in the right way.

For corporate orders, we can also offer a wider range of calf leather depending on the requirements of a particular project and the needs of the brand.

Since leather is a natural material, each product has its own unique characteristics. The shade, texture, density, and surface character may vary slightly from what you see in the photos. This is part of the value of genuine leather — every изделие preserves the living character of the material and its natural uniqueness.

Any personalization shown in the photos in our listings, including logos, names, initials, or text, is provided for demonstration purposes only. In many cases, we can complete laser engraving directly at the warehouse and ship the order on the same day, so this usually does not affect the dispatch time. If embossing with a metal die is required, the work is completed in our workshop in Ukraine, so delivery usually takes about 9 days instead of 1–3 days for orders shipped from our warehouse in the USA.

If the personalization includes the customer’s logo, our designer first prepares a digital mockup for approval. For wholesale and corporate orders, we also produce the first item from the batch as a sample, approve it separately, and only after the second approval do we proceed with the full production run.

If the order is shipped from Ukraine, we independently pay all customs duties and mandatory charges regardless of the destination country, so the customer does not face additional costs or difficulties when receiving the parcel.
