These leather menu covers were made by Mureli Workshop as a real custom order for Rooted Rotisserie.

What makes this project distinctive is not only the warm brown leather, blind embossed restaurant logo, and several coordinated menu formats. Spare elastic cords were also prepared for this set so the restaurant could maintain and refresh the menu system over time.

This approach turns a leather menu cover into a long-term working system: printed pages can be replaced, the elastic binding can be renewed when necessary, while the leather cover itself can continue to be used in the restaurant.

Real Project for Rooted Rotisserie

Rooted Rotisserie is a French-inspired rotisserie restaurant in Baltimore, located in the historic Hollins Market neighborhood. The restaurant concept is connected to the culinary journey of chef Joseph Burton, family traditions, and values centered around family, community, authenticity, and hospitality.

The warm brown leather selected for this project complements that character well. It creates a natural, tactile, and relaxed appearance, while the blind embossed logo adds restaurant branding without bright foil or contrasting print.

In this version, the logo is visible but remains integrated into the leather surface itself. This helps the menu feel less like a separate promotional item and more like a natural part of the restaurant experience.

Replaceable Elastic Binding

The printed menu pages are secured with an elastic cord that passes through metal eyelets positioned near the fold of the cover.

This construction allows the restaurant to replace the internal printed pages without ordering a completely new leather menu cover.

The menu can be updated whenever the restaurant changes:

If the elastic cord eventually needs replacement, the restaurant can renew the binding without purchasing a new leather cover.

Spare cords can also be prepared for a new project by agreement, allowing the restaurant to maintain its menu set over time.

Spare cords are not automatically included with every order. Their quantity and configuration are arranged separately depending on the requirements of the project.

Blind embossing does not use colored foil. Instead, the logo is pressed directly into the leather surface and becomes visible through relief, the natural character of the material, and the interaction of light and shadow.

Printed menu pages, demonstration menu layouts, and other inserts shown in the photographs are not included unless otherwise agreed separately.

We use top-grain calf leather and carefully select it for each type of product. Where strength and structural stability are needed, we choose denser sections of the leather. Where elasticity, softness, and a more natural texture matter, we use more flexible parts of the material.

For example, we cut leather desk pads along the upper line of the hide, which is usually flatter and more even. Rolls, on the other hand, are cut along the lower line of the hide, which is more elastic and often has a more interesting natural texture. This approach allows us to combine aesthetics, functionality, and durability in the right way.

For corporate orders, we can also offer a wider range of calf leather depending on the requirements of a particular project and the needs of the brand.

Since leather is a natural material, each product has its own unique characteristics. The shade, texture, density, and surface character may vary slightly from what you see in the photos. This is part of the value of genuine leather — every изделие preserves the living character of the material and its natural uniqueness.

Any personalization shown in the photos in our listings, including logos, names, initials, or text, is provided for demonstration purposes only. By default, we sell our products without personalization. If you would like to add your own logo, name, or text, please leave your request in the Comment field during checkout.

In many cases, we can complete laser engraving directly at the warehouse and ship the order on the same day, so this usually does not affect the dispatch time. If embossing with a metal die is required, the work is completed in our workshop in Ukraine, so delivery usually takes about 9 days instead of 1–3 days for orders shipped from our warehouse in the USA.

If the personalization includes the customer’s logo, our designer first prepares a digital mockup for approval. For wholesale and corporate orders, we also produce the first item from the batch as a sample, approve it separately, and only after the second approval do we proceed with the full production run.

If the order is shipped from Ukraine, we independently pay all customs duties and mandatory charges regardless of the destination country, so the customer does not face additional costs or difficulties when receiving the parcel.
