Project Log — October 30, 2026

After reviewing our initial proposal, the client confirmed that the light brown leather color was a great match and requested several updates to the order.

Updated Quantities

• 22 leather placemats instead of 20.
• 75 round leather coasters instead of 40.

Updated Branding

The client provided two separate logos. Our revised design proposes the “The Bernhardt Group” logo discreetly positioned in the bottom corner of each placemat, no larger than a credit card.

For the coasters, we are proposing the “BG” monogram centered on the leather surface, with stitched edges. Final logo placement and design will be approved before production.

Updated project price: $1,740, based on the previously offered unit prices, without any additional discounts.

Below is our original proposal, preserved for reference to show how this custom project began.

This custom leather table set is being produced specifically for this order and includes:

• 20 light brown leather placemats, approximately 45 × 30 cm;
• 40 round leather coasters;
• custom logo branding;
• stitched edges on the placemats;
• coasters without stitching.

Light Brown Genuine Leather

The visible surface of the placemats and coasters will be made from light brown genuine leather.

The leather product shown in the reference photo is a real Mureli product previously made for another client. That item is not included in this order.

The photo is provided specifically as a reference for the actual leather color, surface texture and overall appearance of the leather we plan to use for this project.

Because genuine leather is a natural material, grain pattern, texture and exact shade may vary slightly from piece to piece.

20 Custom Leather Placemats — Approx. 45 × 30 cm

Each placemat will have a multilayer construction designed to combine the appearance of genuine leather with better shape retention and practical use on a table.

The construction will consist of:

• Top layer — light brown genuine leather: the visible working surface of the placemat.
• Internal stabilizing layer — approximately 1 mm cardboard: used to help the large 45 × 30 cm placemat remain flatter and maintain its shape.
• Bottom layer — suede leather: provides a softer underside and natural friction against the tabletop to help reduce sliding.

The layers will be assembled and stitched around the perimeter.

The approximate total thickness of the finished placemat will be about 4 mm.

40 Round Leather Coasters

The order also includes 40 round leather coasters made in the same light brown leather so that the entire table set has a coordinated appearance.

As requested, the coasters will be produced without stitching.

No internal cardboard layer will be used in the coasters. Because of their much smaller size, this additional reinforcement is not necessary for maintaining their shape.

Removing the cardboard layer also allows us to create a cleaner edge construction for the unstitched coaster design.

Custom Logo Branding

The client's custom logo will be applied to the placemats and coasters.

The exact logo size, placement and branding method can be finalized before production. If needed, we can prepare a visual layout for approval before branding the complete order.

All items will be produced as one coordinated custom set using the agreed leather color and branding for this project.

We use top-grain calf leather and carefully select it for each type of product. Where strength and structural stability are needed, we choose denser sections of the leather. Where elasticity, softness, and a more natural texture matter, we use more flexible parts of the material.

For example, we cut leather desk pads along the upper line of the hide, which is usually flatter and more even. Rolls, on the other hand, are cut along the lower line of the hide, which is more elastic and often has a more interesting natural texture. This approach allows us to combine aesthetics, functionality, and durability in the right way.

For corporate orders, we can also offer a wider range of calf leather depending on the requirements of a particular project and the needs of the brand.

Since leather is a natural material, each product has its own unique characteristics. The shade, texture, density, and surface character may vary slightly from what you see in the photos. This is part of the value of genuine leather — every изделие preserves the living character of the material and its natural uniqueness.

Any personalization shown in the photos in our listings, including logos, names, initials, or text, is provided for demonstration purposes only. By default, we sell our products without personalization. If you would like to add your own logo, name, or text, please leave your request in the Comment field during checkout.

In many cases, we can complete laser engraving directly at the warehouse and ship the order on the same day, so this usually does not affect the dispatch time. If embossing with a metal die is required, the work is completed in our workshop in Ukraine, so delivery usually takes about 9 days instead of 1–3 days for orders shipped from our warehouse in the USA.

If the personalization includes the customer’s logo, our designer first prepares a digital mockup for approval. For wholesale and corporate orders, we also produce the first item from the batch as a sample, approve it separately, and only after the second approval do we proceed with the full production run.

If the order is shipped from Ukraine, we independently pay all customs duties and mandatory charges regardless of the destination country, so the customer does not face additional costs or difficulties when receiving the parcel.
