This green leather menu cover was handcrafted by Mureli Workshop as a real custom project for Cantina Monarca — a modern Mexican restaurant and tequila lounge in Bellevue, Washington. For this order, a deep green leather color and subtle blind-embossed Cantina Monarca logo were selected, creating a refined look that fits naturally with a contemporary Mexican restaurant aesthetic.

This project shows how a simple leather menu cover can be adapted for a specific restaurant, bar, cantina, or other hospitality venue. The leather color, logo application method, and overall appearance can be customized to complement the branding and interior style of your establishment.

The menu cover features a central elastic cord binding that securely holds the printed menu without complicated hardware. This construction makes it easy for restaurant staff to replace printed pages whenever the menu, seasonal selections, or pricing changes.

When closed, the menu cover has a compact vertical format measuring approximately 5.9 × 9.8 in / 152 × 250 mm. When fully opened, it measures approximately 12.2 × 9.8 in / 310 × 250 mm.

It is designed for standard 8.5 × 11 in / 216 × 279 mm paper, folded in half to approximately 8.5 × 5.5 in / 216 × 140 mm. This keeps the finished menu compact on the table while still providing enough space for food menus, beverage selections, cocktail menus, or bar menus.

For this project, we used blind embossing without foil, allowing the Cantina Monarca logo to become a subtle part of the green leather surface. For other projects, we can adapt the personalization to your own restaurant or venue logo and, depending on the design, use other branding methods as well.

This style is particularly suitable for Mexican restaurants, cantinas, tequila bars, cocktail lounges, Latin restaurants, boutique restaurants, hotel restaurants, and other hospitality venues looking for professionally branded leather menu covers.

This project also illustrates how we approach custom restaurant orders. Rather than simply applying a logo to a standard product, we can coordinate the leather color, contrast, menu format, and personalization method to better match the visual identity of a specific venue.

We use top-grain calf leather and carefully select it for each type of product. Where strength and structural stability are needed, we choose denser sections of the leather. Where elasticity, softness, and a more natural texture matter, we use more flexible parts of the material.

For example, we cut leather desk pads along the upper line of the hide, which is usually flatter and more even. Rolls, on the other hand, are cut along the lower line of the hide, which is more elastic and often has a more interesting natural texture. This approach allows us to combine aesthetics, functionality, and durability in the right way.

For corporate orders, we can also offer a wider range of calf leather depending on the requirements of a particular project and the needs of the brand.

Since leather is a natural material, each product has its own unique characteristics. The shade, texture, density, and surface character may vary slightly from what you see in the photos. This is part of the value of genuine leather — every изделие preserves the living character of the material and its natural uniqueness.

In many cases, we can complete laser engraving directly at the warehouse and ship the order on the same day, so this usually does not affect the dispatch time. If embossing with a metal die is required, the work is completed in our workshop in Ukraine, so delivery usually takes about 9 days instead of 1–3 days for orders shipped from our warehouse in the USA.

If the personalization includes the customer’s logo, our designer first prepares a digital mockup for approval. For wholesale and corporate orders, we also produce the first item from the batch as a sample, approve it separately, and only after the second approval do we proceed with the full production run.

If the order is shipped from Ukraine, we independently pay all customs duties and mandatory charges regardless of the destination country, so the customer does not face additional costs or difficulties when receiving the parcel.
