This series of green leather menu covers was created by Mureli Workshop as a real custom order for a bar.

The client needed branded menu covers for everyday use at the venue. For this project, they selected rich green leather, a double-layer construction, elastic cord binding, and personalization with their own logo.

The menu cover is designed for a standard 8.5 × 11 in sheet, folded in half to 8.5 × 5.5 in and secured inside the cover with a central elastic cord.

For the logo application, we also created a dedicated physical embossing die based on the client’s artwork. The photos show the finished menu covers, the actual die used for embossing, and part of the completed client order.

About This Custom Project

This project was created by Mureli Workshop for a bar that needed reusable leather menu covers with its own branded design.

For this order, we made:

8.5 × 11 in Menu Format

This model is designed for standard US Letter paper:

• 8.5 × 11 in
• 216 × 279 mm

The sheet is folded in half and fits inside the menu cover at:

• 8.5 × 5.5 in
• Approximately 216 × 140 mm

This allows the venue to use standard 8.5 × 11 in printing without ordering a special paper format.

The construction is designed so a folded 8.5 × 11 in sheet fits neatly inside the leather cover.

Elastic Cord Binding

The menu pages are secured with a central elastic cord.

This simple and practical binding system makes it easy to replace printed menus without replacing the leather cover itself.

To update the menu, the venue can simply:

• Remove the existing sheet
• Fold a new 8.5 × 11 in sheet in half
• Secure it with the elastic cord

This format works especially well for bars where cocktail lists, seasonal drinks, pricing, or special menus may change regularly.

Double-Layer Leather Construction

These menu covers are made with a double-layer leather construction.

The two layers create a denser and more substantial feel in the hand and give the cover more structure compared with a simple single-layer design.

This construction is well suited for everyday use in bars, restaurants, and hospitality venues.

Custom Embossing Die for the Logo

For this custom order, we created a dedicated physical embossing die based on the client’s logo.

This die is the actual tool used to emboss the logo into the leather.

One of the photos shows the real embossing die from this project next to the finished logo impression.

This gives a direct look at part of the Mureli Workshop production process, not only the final product.

We Keep the Embossing Die for Repeat Orders

After the first order is completed, we keep the custom embossing die created for the client.

If the bar later orders:

• New bar accessories
• Other leather products with the same logo

we can reuse the existing die.

This makes repeat orders easier and faster to move into production because the main logo embossing tool has already been created.

Printed menus and other demonstration materials shown in the photos are not included unless otherwise agreed.

We use top-grain calf leather and carefully select it for each type of product. Where strength and structural stability are needed, we choose denser sections of the leather. Where elasticity, softness, and a more natural texture matter, we use more flexible parts of the material.

For example, we cut leather desk pads along the upper line of the hide, which is usually flatter and more even. Rolls, on the other hand, are cut along the lower line of the hide, which is more elastic and often has a more interesting natural texture. This approach allows us to combine aesthetics, functionality, and durability in the right way.

For corporate orders, we can also offer a wider range of calf leather depending on the requirements of a particular project and the needs of the brand.

Since leather is a natural material, each product has its own unique characteristics. The shade, texture, density, and surface character may vary slightly from what you see in the photos. This is part of the value of genuine leather — every изделие preserves the living character of the material and its natural uniqueness.

Any personalization shown in the photos in our listings, including logos, names, initials, or text, is provided for demonstration purposes only. By default, we sell our products without personalization. If you would like to add your own logo, name, or text, please leave your request in the Comment field during checkout.

In many cases, we can complete laser engraving directly at the warehouse and ship the order on the same day, so this usually does not affect the dispatch time. If embossing with a metal die is required, the work is completed in our workshop in Ukraine, so delivery usually takes about 9 days instead of 1–3 days for orders shipped from our warehouse in the USA.

If the personalization includes the customer’s logo, our designer first prepares a digital mockup for approval. For wholesale and corporate orders, we also produce the first item from the batch as a sample, approve it separately, and only after the second approval do we proceed with the full production run.

If the order is shipped from Ukraine, we independently pay all customs duties and mandatory charges regardless of the destination country, so the customer does not face additional costs or difficulties when receiving the parcel.
