Leather Check Presenter Design No. 1 for Restaurants, Fine Dining & Cocktail Lounges

Design No. 1 is one of the simplest and most versatile check presenter constructions created by Mureli Workshop.

It is a slim leather folder without unnecessary interior details. The guest receives the check in a compact, clean format, while the large sculpted pocket inside provides space for a receipt, cash, or other small payment-related materials.

The simplicity of this construction makes it suitable for a wide range of hospitality concepts — from independent restaurants to fine dining venues, cocktail lounges, wine bars, and private clubs.

For the Final Moment of Restaurant Service

A check presenter is used at the very end of the guest experience, which means even such a small detail becomes part of the overall impression of the restaurant.

In the photographs, we intentionally demonstrate the holder with both US dollars and euros. The sculpted pocket is not designed around one specific currency and can accommodate different banknotes and standard restaurant receipts.

Minimalist Design No. 1 Construction

This model does not contain multiple additional pockets, holders, or mechanisms.

Inside is one main sculpted pocket stitched to the interior of the check presenter.

It allows the server to quickly place the check inside while making it easy for the guest to see and remove it.

This construction works especially well for venues that want the presentation of the bill to remain clean, minimal, and understated.

Brown Leather with Natural Character

The photographs show the check presenter in a deep brown leather color.

The surface has natural tonal variations and character typical of genuine leather. With use, individual marks may develop over time, gradually giving each check presenter its own appearance.

A Real Project for Aubrey in St. Louis

The photographs in this listing show a real batch of Design No. 1 check presenters produced by Mureli Workshop with the Aubrey logo.

Aubrey Dining & Cocktails is a fine dining restaurant and cocktail lounge located in Midtown St. Louis, Missouri. The venue is located at 3001 Locust Street and opened in May 2026. Its concept combines a more refined level of dining service with a relaxed atmosphere, inspired in part by intimate New York restaurants.

Design No. 1 fits this type of environment particularly well. It does not compete with the interior or the presentation of the restaurant, but adds a branded detail to the final stage of the guest experience.

Each check presenter in this project received custom Aubrey logo embossing on the front cover.

This project also demonstrates how one basic Mureli construction can be adapted to a specific restaurant simply through the choice of leather color and the venue's own branding.

What Is Included

Cash, receipts, and other items shown in the photographs are used only to demonstrate functionality and are not included.

We use top-grain calf leather and carefully select it for each type of product. Where strength and structural stability are needed, we choose denser sections of the leather. Where elasticity, softness, and a more natural texture matter, we use more flexible parts of the material.

For example, we cut leather desk pads along the upper line of the hide, which is usually flatter and more even. Rolls, on the other hand, are cut along the lower line of the hide, which is more elastic and often has a more interesting natural texture. This approach allows us to combine aesthetics, functionality, and durability in the right way.

For corporate orders, we can also offer a wider range of calf leather depending on the requirements of a particular project and the needs of the brand.

Since leather is a natural material, each product has its own unique characteristics. The shade, texture, density, and surface character may vary slightly from what you see in the photos. This is part of the value of genuine leather — every изделие preserves the living character of the material and its natural uniqueness.

Any personalization shown in the photos in our listings, including logos, names, initials, or text, is provided for demonstration purposes only. In many cases, we can complete laser engraving directly at the warehouse and ship the order on the same day, so this usually does not affect the dispatch time. If embossing with a metal die is required, the work is completed in our workshop in Ukraine, so delivery usually takes about 9 days instead of 1–3 days for orders shipped from our warehouse in the USA.

If the personalization includes the customer’s logo, our designer first prepares a digital mockup for approval. For wholesale and corporate orders, we also produce the first item from the batch as a sample, approve it separately, and only after the second approval do we proceed with the full production run.

If the order is shipped from Ukraine, we independently pay all customs duties and mandatory charges regardless of the destination country, so the customer does not face additional costs or difficulties when receiving the parcel.
